LPG System Installations

Diamond Wings has expanded into a brand name of repute, in the centralized gas system business in the region. Diamond wings leads the field of the LPG in the kingdom for more than 40 years as it has great experience that collected from design and execution of large and complicated projects in all uses domestic, commercial and industrial. Diamond wings initiate all designs, execution and supervision of all LPG projects whatever the scale of project. The highly experienced and competent team managing the group offers the best quality of final products supported by a very dynamic customer service and quality control system

Diamond Wings specializes in central gas systems and distribution of gas to domestic, commercial and industrial customers. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a term used for hydrocarbon gases. It is produced either as a by-product when refining crude oil or direct from the North Seas oil or gas wells. The two most common LPG gases are known as Commercial Propane and Commercial Butane as defined in BS 4250. Commercial Butane is predominately stored in blue cylinders up to 15kg and generally used for leisure applications and mobile heaters. Commercial Propane is predominately stored in different color e.g. Red, yellow etc. cylinders and bulk storage vessels and especially used for heating, cooking and numerous commercial & industrial applications. LPG has one key characteristic that distinguishes it from Natural Gas. Under modest pressure LPG gas vapor becomes a liquid. This makes it easy to be stored and transported in specially constructed vessels and cylinders.

Pioneered by experts who are in this vertical since 1980’s has turned into a synonym for LPG installation services in Bahrain.

LPG Tank : LPG Storage Tank is designed, fabricated, tested and marked in accordance with International standards and is approved by respective country’s Civil Defense. LPG Storage Tank is consist of pressure relief devices, container shut off valves, backflow check valves, plugs, level gauges and pressure gauges connected directly into the container openings.

Pipes & Fittings: Provide Pipe and fittings in accordance with CDFSD regulations.

Valves, Other than Container Valves Isolating valve is as per L.P. Gas application.

Gas Leak Detection System: The central control panel shall be located in the control room located on the site and shall easily be accessible in the event of an emergency. The concentration of the gas shall be displayed on a common indicator with selector switches to display the concentration of the desired channel or zone indicator. The gas detectors shall use a sensor to detect flammable gases and vapours. The sensor shall be housed in a stainless steel, flame proof housing, fitted onto an explosion proof junction box.

Vaporizer : A vaporizer is designed to receive the liquid LPG and raise its temperature (heat the liquid) well above the boiling point at the delivery pressure. In other words, a vaporizer generates the (heat) energy that is required to maintain the gaseous state of the LPG.

Gas Meter : Gas Meter is used to measure the flow of fuel gases such as natural gas and propane. Gas meters are used at residential, commercial, and industrial buildings that consume fuel gas supplied by a gas utility. Gases are more difficult to measure than liquids, as measured volumes are highly affected by temperature and pressure. Gas meters measure a defined volume, regardless of the pressurized quantity or quality of the gas flowing through the meter. Temperature, pressure and heating value compensation must be made to measure actual amount and value of gas moving through a meter.

Central Gas System – Design & Installation

A central gas system is a method of distribution of LPG fuel from a central storage tank to one or more points of use. The choice of components in the system will be determined by the load requirements and nature of the installation.

A central gas system normally consists of :
  • Central Storage tank – Underground or Above Ground Type depending on the installation.
  • Pressure reduction and Distribution Panel – Selection of regulators are done to control the fuel flow as per the requirements.
  • Pressure reduction and Distribution Panel – Selection of regulators are done to control the fuel flow as per the requirements.
  • Pipe Network – Carbon steel piping shall be used to distribute the LPG from the storage yard to different delivery locations. All materials as per the international standards and regulations.
  • Gas leak detection and monitoring – A network of fixed gas detectors shall be installed at delivery locations and storage yard. This network shall be monitored by a central gas monitoring panel coupled with building fire alarm or BMS panels.
  • Vaporizers – Are electrical devices employed to provide external heat for transformation of liquid to vapor LPG and maintain the vapor pressure in the system.
Advantages of Centralised Gas Sytem
  • Increased safety.
  • Improved working environment.
  • Improved economy.
  • Required by authorities.
Installation:

Our team of engineers is well experienced in the design and installations of central gas system, and can help you give an optimum design and solution to match your requirements, with respect to the civil defense specifications and international standards. We undertake turnkey projects right from the design, drawing approvals from civil defense, execution and obtain all the necessary approvals from civil defense. Our technicians undergo periodic safety training and have qualified welders with Xray welding certificates.
